where is mario

That’s a good question. I have been all over the place as of late, but somehow it feels tough to answer that question. I guess that’s how it goes in life sometime. You’re doing a million things at once (some well, some not so well) yet it doesn’t feel like anything is getting done. Anyways, here’s what I think has been going on.

- Quillion is doing really well. We’re growing as a company and as a team. We’ve got some awesome opportunities that we’re bringing for life for both our clients and ourselves. I can’t talk about client business, but one internal project I am currently working on is going to help thousands of recent college graduates start their careers successfully.

- I went on a pretty epic backpacking trip last weekend with my friends Marc, Christina and Rick. It was up at Sequoia national park where we camped at 11,000 feet. Here are some pictures.

- My loft in Portland has been rented. It took a little while but I feel that I’ve found the right tenant which was the most important thing for me. I am now a landlord. A big thank you goes out the Jim and Kevin who were my leasing agents in Portland. If you ever need some property management services in Portland; I highly recommend Pearl District Property Management.

- My triathlon training is going ok. Biking and running isn’t going to be the problem, but I am slightly concerned about the time I have to spend in the ocean. More specifically I am concerned about my ocean co-inhabitants. Sharks scare me, and so do dolphins when I am what feels like the middle of the ocean. My weekend rides up and down the canyons in Malibu has been epic however.

- What is Otto doing? Loving life, that’s for sure. The only thing he’s working on right now is shedding hair while getting ready for summer.

- On a sad note, my grandmother is dying from liver cancer. She is fighting a losing battle. And I probably won’t get to see with her again.  Despite having lived in the US for the past 12 years, this is the first time for me to be in this situation. I am really struggling with this, but am thankful for the time I was able to spend with her these past few years. No matter, where, who or how; spend as much time as you can with the people you love. And cherish every moment.

    Mario,

I am intrigued by your “internal project” and am curious if your project will be through Quillion or Scrappy Marketing. Please keep us posted!

I am sorry to hear about your grandmother and her fight with cancer, I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

    Appreciating your posts,

    Jess
